Gamers will wait longer for Grand Theft Auto VI after Rockstar Games announced another postponement. The company now plans to release the game in November 2026. Rockstar had previously scheduled the launch for May 2026, marking this as the second delay. The official release date now stands at 19 November 2026. The studio originally planned to launch the game in autumn this year. In a statement, Rockstar asked fans for patience, saying it needs more time to refine the game and meet the level of quality players expect.
Chaos, Crime, and High-Speed Thrills
The game lets players explore cities without restrictions, stealing cars and collecting expensive vehicles, boats, and bikes. It fills the experience with police pursuits, time-based missions, violent clashes, and explosive crashes. Characters use bold, explicit language that matches the chaotic tone of the series. Grand Theft Auto VI takes players to the state of Leonida, featuring the neon-drenched streets of the fictional Vice City and its surroundings. Rockstar describes it as the most expansive and immersive evolution in the series’ history.
A Record-Breaking Legacy in Gaming
Grand Theft Auto has remained one of the most successful and widely played video games since its debut 12 years ago. Each entry, including Vice City, San Andreas, and Grand Theft Auto IV, has strengthened the series’ reputation for innovation and influence. Critics and fans alike recognize GTA as one of modern entertainment’s defining franchises. The previous title, Grand Theft Auto V, has sold over 215 million copies, making it the second best-selling video game ever, surpassed only by Minecraft.
