Los Angeles FC star Son Heung-min ranks second only to Lionel Messi on Major League Soccer’s salary list after joining from Tottenham in August.
Son earns $10.4 million in annual salary and $11.2 million in total compensation, trailing only Messi’s $12 million salary and $20.4 million total from Inter Miami. The South Korean forward has scored nine goals in 10 league games since his arrival.
Miami recently extended Messi’s deal through 2028, while his new teammate Rodrigo De Paul earns $1.5 million per year. Other top summer signings include Hirving “Chucky” Lozano ($7.6m, San Diego), Jonathan Bamba ($5.6m, Chicago), and Wilfried Zaha ($2.8m, Charlotte).
