Russia sent 142 attack and decoy drones into Ukraine overnight, Ukraine’s Air Force reported on Telegram.
Explosions struck Kherson, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipro during the assault.
Ukrainian troops intercepted 126 drones, but 16 drones hit 10 locations.
Kherson Hit Hard by Drone Strikes
Authorities in Kherson confirmed two deaths and 14 injuries after drones damaged houses, schools, a hospital, and vehicles.
The city also lost administrative buildings and a gas station to drone attacks.
Odesa Infrastructure Severely Damaged
Chornomorsk suffered the most damage in Odesa, and at least one person was injured, media reported.
Governor Oleg Kiper said energy infrastructure failed, leaving 29,000 people without electricity.
Kiper added crews began restoring services, powering critical facilities with generators.
Zelenskyy Confirms Heavy Russian Losses
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called Russia’s third major attack this week a sign that global pressure remains crucial.
He reported Russian troops suffered heavy losses in Pokrovsk, where Moscow concentrates its efforts.
Zelenskyy wrote that Ukrainian units in Donetsk continue assigned missions and systematically destroy Russian forces.
He added Russia lost over 290,000 soldiers killed or severely wounded in eight months of fighting.
